This week we will be looking at the following standard:

SS8E3 Explain the principles of effective personal money management.

a. Explain that income is the starting point for personal financial management.

b. Describe the reasons for and the benefits of a household budget.

c. Describe the reasons for and the benefits of savings.

d. Describe the uses of debt and associated risks.

We will first get an understanding of taxes and budgets. I have assigned two videos on brainpop.com this week. The titles are taxes and budgets. You will need to login on Office 365 and then go to clever.com to be able to get to the videos. If you have trouble getting there you can always just go to brainpop.com and use the login teasley and password read. You will then have to send me an e-mail of your scores on the two video quizzes. If you use clever you will NOT have to send me your scores. Deadline to complete is Friday, May 1st.

We will be meeting again on Thursday, April 30th, at 10:30 a.m on zoom.us. I will be sending you the meeting ID and password on Wednesday by e-mail and remind.
