Hello Parents & Students This week we will be finishing up standard SS8CG2 (Legislative Branch). We will then move on to the next standard SS8CG3 which is to "Analyze the role of the executive branch in Georgia state government." a. Explain the qualifications for the governor and lieutenant governor and their role in the executive branch of state government. b. Describe how the executive branch fulfills its role through state agencies that administer programs and enforce laws.

This week I will be giving two assignments for the students to complete for a grade. The first one was actually given out last week on Brainpop. (The students MUST log in by logging on to Office 365, then go to clever.com. Once in Clever the students can log on to Brainpop to get their assignment. The assignment is a worksheet that the students have to connect the vocabulary word to the definition. Submit to me on brainpop NOT by e-mail or in the assignment tab in CTLS. This assignment is Due Monday, September 14th for classes periods 3rd, 4th, and 5th by 10pm, and Tuesday, September 15th for classes periods 6th and 7th by 10pm. The next assignment "How a Bill Becomes a Law" will be given out during class on Monday and Tuesday. This assignment will be due Wednesday, September 16th by 10pm.

Progress Reports may be viewed on Tuesday, September 15th on ParentVue. Several students are still missing assignments to me. Please have them to make up ANY missing assignments to get their grade up. (If you see a 50 in the grade book...that is a missing assignment.)

Please mark your calendar that our Fall Break is September 28th - October 2nd. There will be NO Virtual School during this time. (Sorry, if my excitement offends anyone.)
