Hello Parents,

If you would like to meet with me regarding your child's grade, let me know. I can meet with you next Wednesday, October 28th by zoom.

Each Wednesday your child can attend tutoring with ANY of their teachers. The times are listed below for your convenience: These sessions will start next Wednesday, October 28th.

• 1:00-1:30 - ELA

• 1:30 -2:00 - Science

• 2:00 - 2:30 - Math

• 2:30 - 3:00 - Individuals and Societies (My class)

• 3:00 - 3:30  - Reading

Please remind your child to complete and submit all assignments in the CTLS platform. If you need help with submitting assignments let me know.

This week we are learning the standard SS8CG6.

SS8CG6 Analyze the role of local governments in the state of Georgia.

a.       Explain the origins and purposes, of city, county, and special-purpose governments in Georgia.

b.       Describe how local government is funded and how spending decisions are made.

Students have been given an assignment to write the definitions of the vocabulary words in the unit. This assignment is due on Thursday for the Monday classes and Friday for the Tuesday classes.

Thursday and Friday classes this week will be doing a web-quest during class. Please make sure to bring your computer to class if you are face to face. This assignment will be due on Monday, October 26th.
